Pleasant View Gardens – Loudon, NH
Riess Construction first worked for Pleasant View Gardens in the late 1990’s and over the years have had the pleasure of working on several projects with them. Pleasant View Gardens has two locations, one in Pembroke, NH and the other in Loudon, NH. During the winter in 2008 Riess erected a 16,000 sq ft pre-engineered metal building at the Loudon location, purchased from Dutton & Garfield, New Hampshire’s leading Butler Building dealer. The new building will house state-of-the-art plant growing technology and a new lunch room and future office space.

Plymouth Commerce Park, Plymouth, NH
Riess Construction has completed two of three phases at the Plymouth Commerce Park in Plymouth, NH. As you drive along Tenney Mountain Highway in Plymouth you will notice the new multi-tenant building high on the hill off of Yeaton Road. The general contractor on the project is NorthRock Construction. Riess was contracted by Tri County Contractors to erect each of the three 12,000 sq ft buildings.

MTS, Associates, Hooksett, NH
Riess Construction, Plymouth, NH was contracted by Flynn Construction to erect a 100’ x 200’ x 27’ metal building for a new location for MTS, Associates in Hooksett, NH. The design of the new building is unique including a 5,000 sq ft mezzanine and the red roof, red tower and horizontal siding. The completed building can be seen from Interstate 93 North, just south of the toll booth.

Velcro, Somersworth, NH
In May 2008 Velcro celebrated their 50th Anniversary in conjunction with the grand opening of the 195,200 sq ft expansion to the Somersworth facility. The expansion included over 65,000 sq ft of insulated sandwich panel siding. In addition, Riess also installed over 5,000 sq ft of metal panel around skylights and installed the entire sub framing for all siding and wall attachments. The siding included some 7” think Thermal safe interior wall partitions and also some 4” think wall partitions. The expansion brings the entire square footage of the plant to 420,000 sq ft.
Pizzagali Construction of Burlington, Vermont was the general contractor on the job also celebrated their 50th year in business. Pizzagali is known for their emphasis on safety. Riess Construction has always been a safety conscious company so meeting the safety expectations was not an issue. Riess continued their normal safety procedures and added in ZAPP (Zero Accident Prevention Plans) reports and onsite safety meetings every other day, Riess met the challenge without incident.
Riess Construction teamed up with Specialty Roofing & Sidewall Products, Inc. of Longmeadow, MA for this project. The fast pace and vast size of the project was just incredible. Mike Riess who headed up the project for Riess developed a good working relationship with Frank Leichthammer, owner of Specialty Roofing & Siding Products, and had to work out a lot of details on the run.

Hypertherm – Lebanon, NH
Riess Construction completed a very challenging job at Hypertherm, located in Lebanon, NH. The general contractor for the project was CCI. The metal building was torn down to the frame and structural modifications were made by Riess before they could install a new standing seam metal roof and new metal siding which were supplied by Northern Building Systems. This was the second project that Riess and CCI worked on together for Hypertherm in 2008.

Lebanon Airport Revitalization Project, Lebanon, NH
Riess Construction completed the first of two phases of the Lebanon Airport revitalization project. Working for Estes & Gallop of Lyme, NH, Riess erected two – (10) unit airplane hangar buildings which were supplied by Erect-A-Tube. The hangers include electric door openers and R-11 insulation on the ceiling and walls. The T-Hanger style will accommodate most G/A single engine aircraft and a couple rectangular hangers for larger aircraft. Lebanon Airport is a regional tower controller port located in Western, NH.

New Hampshire Electric Co-op, Alton, New Hampshire
Riess Construction, Plymouth, NH has erected an 8,400 square-foot garage and office building for New Hampshire Electric Cooperative, located off Route 28 near Prospect Mountain High School in Alton, NH. Completed, it will feature the latest measures designed to save energy and protect the surrounding wetlands. Flynn Construction, of Nashua, NH teamed with Riess Construction, working for NH Electric Co-op to build the facility and install energy efficient measures that include all fluorescent lighting; the doubling of standard roof and wall insulation; installation of a "Cool Roof" to reflect sunlight and reduce solar heat gain; installation of an Energy Recovery Ventilation (ERV) system that recovers heat from vented air during the heating season; and installation of a Low Temperature Heat Pump (LTHP) to heat and cool the office area.

Meredith Community Center, Meredith, NH
Riess Construction has been working on the construction of the new Community Center at One Circle Drive in Meredith, NH. Riess’s commercial wood framing division was pleased to be awarded the framing package for this project. Working closely with BAUEN Corporation, the local Construction Manager and local Architect, Christopher P. Williams, Riess intends to complete its portion of the project by October 1st. The overall completion of the project is slated for January 2006.
The town of Meredith has been waiting for over 50 years for this facility. This building is a multi-generational center; the kitchen will provide meals for the local senior citizens as well as the Meals On Wheels Program. The center will also serve as the town’s emergency management shelter.

FW Webb, Gilford, NH
Riess recently constructed the new FW Webb warehouse/distribution center, located in Gilford, NH. This is the first new building in the Lakes Business Park located on Hounsell Ave, Gilford, NH. Working closely with the building supplier Dutton & Garfield, located in Hampstead, NH and the General Contractor, JM Coull, Inc., Riess will complete the erection of this 30,000 sq ft Pre-engineered metal building on or ahead of schedule.

The Oliver Store, Lancaster, NH
The Oliver Stores, established in 1939, provides sales and service for the Forestry & Construction equipment industry. They have other branches in Farmington, Bangor and New Gloucester Maine. Riess Construction completed a 3,500 sq ft pre-engineered metal building addition for The Oliver Stores at their Lancaster, NH facility. Working closely with one of the owners and Branch Manager John Scales, Riess Construction was responsible for the design, supply and erection of the new addition that will house a wash bay and a drive thru mechanics bay. The mechanics’ bay will house a 5-ton top running bridge crane.

Quality Wood Priming, Bow, NH
Riess Construction recently completed an 80,000 sq ft metal building addition to Quality Wood Priming, Bow, NH. Quality Wood Priming is a division of Coastal Forest Products. Riess Construction became part of the owner’s team on this project. Other team members where Fournier Builders LLC. from Goffstown, NH , The H.L. Turner Group Inc ., Concord, NH, the consulting engineers for the project, Cullen Concrete, Interstate Concrete, Advance Site Works, and Hampshire Fire Protection to name a few other team members. Riess was responsible for the design, supply and erection of this four building complex of additions. All buildings in some way connect to the existing building.

Stratham Tire
Brentwood, NH
Riess Construction completed the New Stratham Tire Retail Center at the Brentwood, NH location. Riess was part of a team that included Excel Construction Management of Newfield, NH and Northern Building Systems of Dalton, MA. Riess was responsible for erecting the metal building portion of this project which extended over 10,000 sq. ft. Decorative canopies and attractive roof-mounted cupolas give this building unique character and charm. Riess Construction is very proud of the appearance. Golden Gable’s Inn
Conway, NH
Riess concluded their 6th year in business with the completion of the 11,000 sq ft addition to the Golden Gable’s Inn, Conway NH. Riess worked directly with the General Contractor, L A Drew of Intervale, NH. This new 28 unit, hotel expansion includes (3) first class suites. Riess was responsible for the panelized wood framing portion of this structure including extensive exterior decks and stairways.
